Cervical Cancer treatment in Jaipur
Radical hysterectomy, including laparoscopic approaches, and fertility-sparing surgery for early cervical cancer.
About cervical cancer
Cervical cancer develops in the lower part of the uterus and is almost always caused by persistent infection with high-risk HPV. It is one of the most preventable cancers, through HPV vaccination and regular Pap smear or HPV testing, and one of the most treatable when found early.
Dr. Ledwani provides the full range of surgical care for cervical cancer, from cone biopsy and fertility-sparing trachelectomy for very early disease to radical hysterectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection.

Frequently asked questions
Can cervical cancer be prevented?
Largely, yes. HPV vaccination for girls and young women, plus regular screening from age 25–30, prevents most cases.
Can I still have children after treatment?
For very early cancers, fertility-sparing surgery such as trachelectomy is possible. This is discussed in detail at the first consultation.
What is the recovery after radical hysterectomy?
Hospital stay is typically 4–7 days. A urinary catheter may stay for a short period, and most women resume normal activities within 4–6 weeks.
