Prostate Cancer treatment in Jaipur
Radical prostatectomy with nerve-sparing techniques for localised prostate cancer, and multidisciplinary care for advanced disease.
About prostate cancer
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men over 60. Many prostate cancers grow slowly and can be monitored, while others need treatment. Choosing the right approach depends on PSA level, biopsy grade (Gleason score), stage and the patient's overall health.
Dr. Ledwani offers radical prostatectomy with nerve-sparing techniques to preserve urinary control and sexual function wherever possible, and coordinates radiation, hormone therapy and newer treatments with the BMCHRC oncology team.

Frequently asked questions
Does every prostate cancer need surgery?
No. Low-risk cancers can often be safely monitored with active surveillance. Treatment is advised when the cancer is intermediate or high risk.
Will I be incontinent after surgery?
Temporary leakage is common for a few weeks to months. With nerve-sparing techniques and pelvic floor exercises, most men regain control.
What is the role of PSA after treatment?
PSA should fall to very low levels after prostatectomy and is checked regularly to detect any recurrence early.
